Sorbete de sandía ;)
Ingredientes para 4 personas
- 500 g de sandía limpia y sin pepitas, 125 ml de agua, 60 g de azúcar, 2 cucharadas de zumo de limón, 1 pizca de sal.
Cómo hacer sorbete de sandía
En un cazo echamos el agua y el azúcar. Removemos lo justo para que se mezclen y llevamos a ebullición. Una vez comience a hervir, contamos dos minutos. Retiramos del fuego y pasamos el almíbar a otro recipiente para que se enfríe.Mientras, trituramos la sandía que estará limpia, sin cáscara ni pepitas, junto al zumo de limón y la pizca de sal. Una vez obtenido el puré lo mezclamos al almíbar ligero.
Pasamos a un recipiente que sirva para el congelador y congelamos durante unas horas, removiendo de vez en cuando, hasta que tenga la textura adecuada. En este caso no es necesario tener heladora y al hacer una base de almíbar, no cristalizará, pero es conveniente remover la mezcla con un tenedor un par de veces.

Lets’ get started with supplies …
Supplies Needed:
For Glitter Magnets
• ¾” ceramic craft magnets
• Glitter
• Foam paintbrush
• Tacky glue
For the Pom Pom Magnets
• ¾” ceramic craft magnets
• Felted wool balls or pom poms
• High-temp hot glue gun
Step 1: Arrange your magnets about 4” apart on a sheet of paper. Make sure to give them
space or they will try to smooch!
Step 2: Pour a small pile of glitter on the paper. With your foam paintbrush apply a
layer of Tacky glue to the surface of a magnet. (Tacky glue adheres to glitter better than
regular white glue.) Quickly dip the glue-covered surface in the glitter. Set aside to dry.
Step 3: For pop pom magnets: apply hot glue directly to the top of the magnet. Quickly
push your pop pom in place.

I love the tradition of creating a rehearsal bouquet from ribbons collected during a bridal shower, but it can feel a little expected. I recently hosted a close friend’s bridal shower, and for a fresh twist, I gave her a few paper flowers created from the party confetti we used at her event. It stays true to the custom of taking pieces from the bridal shower and crafting a stand-in bouquet for the wedding rehearsal, but instead of a tangle of ribbons on a paper plate, she’ll have pretty handmade paper flowers to carry.
To make these flowers…
I was inspired by this video tutorial, along with some style tweaks of my own. It’s as simple as creating petals multiple and layering them in increasing sizes.
Supplies:
• Pencil
• Glue sticks
• Glue gun
• Arrowhead Pastels circle garland discs or table confetti (12-15 pieces creates a big 6″ bloom)
• Scissors
• Long wooden skewers
Step 1: To create the largest petals, Start with a stack of any style Minted confetti or 3.25″ circles. (If you don’t have confetti on hand, you can make these using colored paper and a circle cutter) Give the large petals a slight curl by rolling them around a wooden spoon handle or a pencil. It will take about 4 or 5 large curled petals to create the biggest bloom shown. The smaller flower blossom contains only medium and small petals.
Step 2: Create medium and small petals by using the remaining uncurled largest circle pieces, and folding them in half. Trace a medium crescent shape on the folded paper that is about 2.5″ from tip to base. Cut the shape out with scissors and soften the fold by rolling it around a pencil. Repeat this step until you have about 5 medium petals. Create small petals using the same method, only tracing a crescent shape about 1.5″ at its widest point. Cut and curl same as medium petals.
Step 3: Once you’ve completed the petal making, you should have about 5 large petals, 5 medium petals, and 4 small petals.
Step 4: Roll one of the smallest petals into a cone shape, and affix with a dot of hot glue. This will be your innermost flower petal.
Step 5: Take another small petal, add a dot of hot glue at the base, and roll it around the small cone shape.
Step 6: Continue layering petals, in a concentric pattern (working smallest to medium) until all medium and small petals have been applied. If you stop at this point, You will have a small bloom. Attach a wooden dowel at the base of the flower with a dot of hot glue to create a stem. To create a large bloom, continue layering the large curled petals before inserting the dowel.
Step 7: Create paper leaves by using a contrasting color. Fold a flat disc in half and trace a crescent shape in similar style to the petal, only leave a more pointed angle at the tip. Cut out this shape and, leaving the crease in the leaf, attach this to the flower stem using a dot of hot glue.
Step 8: Add some finishing petals to the bottom of the large bloom. Create these by snipping a .75″ slit at the bottom of one of the largest circles. Draw these slightly together and affix with hot glue. Attach these petals to the base of your flower, positioning them to curl downward for a bloomed look.
Step 9: Bind the stems with glue, twine or ribbon.
Tips:
• Try curling petals a different way for a messier look
• To affix stems securely, insert the pointed end of a wooden skewer into the base of the paper flower. (there should be some small spaces created by the layered petals).

Cómo hacer jabón ;)
La receta tradicional:Esta receta es ideal para reciclar los aceites que empleamos en la cocina, por ejemplo, los de la freidora. Conseguiremos un jabón muy eficaz contra las manchas en la ropa y perfecto para la cocina. Además es ecológico 100%
Elaboración del jabón
| El jabón se obtiene mediante un proceso de saponificación, reacción que produce un álcali sobre una grasa convirtiéndola en un producto que tiene la propiedad de emulsionar las grasas y los aceites, haciendo que se disuelvan en agua sustancias insolubles |

| La fabricación de jabón es muy similar a la
preparación de una mayonesa, donde es esencial guardar unas proporciones
adecuadas y mezclar los ingredientes perfectamente a un ritmo constante, si no
corremos el riesgo que al igual que la mayonesa pueda cortarse: Proporciones adecuadas: - 3 partes de aceite vegetal - 3 partes de agua - 1/2 parte. de sosa cáustica - opcional: Aditivos como la glicerina, oleína (1cucharada) - Fragancias, colorantes |
Paso a paso
| 1. En primer lugar, mezclamos el agua fría con la sosa en una cacerola profunda y esmaltada, hasta su completa disolución |
| 2. Añadimos el aceite poco a poco, removiendo la mezcla suavemente al principio para ir aumentado progresivamente. |
| Siempre debemos batir en la misma dirección durante 30 a 40 minutos aproximadamente, hasta conseguir una consistencia densa en la que quede la huella hecha con el dedo durante unos instantes. |
| 3. A continuación, si lo deseamos añadimos aditivos (fragancia, color, aditivos naturales) que correspondan en función de las cualidades que queremos dar a nuestro jabón. |
| 4. Vertemos en el molde, nivelando la superficie con un cuchillo y dejamos que se endurezca, tardará de cuatro o cinco días. |
| 5. Sacamos del molde y dejamos reposar el jabón envuelto en papel de repostería durante 14 días antes de utilizarlo |

En la elaboración de este tipo de jabones recomendamos hacer cantidades de
jabón suficientes para varias pastillas. Podemos utilizar moldes de gran tamaño y una vez desmoldado el jabón, cortarlo en pastillas y guardarlas individualmente, envolviéndolas en un papel de repostería para que se conserve en perfectas condiciones. |
